Forestry Mulching Also Helps With:
Fire Prevention
In addition to leaving a park-like atmosphere after the job is complete, forestry mulching also helps with erosion control and fire prevention. Instead of clear-cutting the land, leaving a bare service, the mulch left behind by pulverizing organic debris erodes and becomes nutrient-rich which raises PH levels and lowers soil acidity. The dead plants and leaves left behind coat the land with a protective covering, enhancing moisture and preventing small brush fires.
Erosion Control
Previous methods of land clearing ripped out plants and shrubs by their roots, leaving adjacent vegetation exposed to the elements. The bare earth would then get washed away, creating erosion and deterioration of the surface. Once cleared, forestry mulching breathes life into the land by leaving an enriched soil layer that suppresses weed growth and preserves moisture. Creating this new topsoil layer goes a long way in preventing erosion, promoting new growth and strengthening the existing root systems left behind, thereby preventing erosion.
